Project description

Our team partnered with UniqLearn to design an intuitive web-based classroom management platform connecting teachers, students, and administrators in one high-engagement workspace.

Timeline

From conception to final design system: 8-10 weeks working collaboratively with educators and school administrators.

Background

Schools struggled with fragmented learning management software, lost homework submissions, and slow grading feedback loops. UniqLearn consolidates curriculum scheduling, live student submissions, gradebook analytics, and real-time parent updates into one cohesive interface.

Problem statement

This category details the step-by-step approach taken during the project, including research, planning, design, development, testing, and optimization phases.

Research & Planning

Conducted ethnographic interviews with 120+ K-12 educators and students to pinpoint friction in grading and assignment handoffs. Defined core personas and high-priority feature sets.

Design & Prototyping

Engineered responsive dashboard wireframes, accessible typography hierarchies, and tactile interaction flows for fast grading. Iterated through teacher feedback sessions.

Development & Implementation

Built production-ready design tokens and React UI component libraries. Partnered with engineering to optimize real-time roster sync and calendar integrations.

Testing & Optimization

Ran closed beta trials across 18 classrooms, measuring assignment turnaround time, cognitive load, and accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Challenge

The resulting UniqLearn workspace provides a fluid, unified classroom experience for teachers, students, and parents.

Unified Classroom OS

Automated student gradebooks, curriculum scheduling, and centralized assignment tracking with zero visual clutter.

Intelligent Scheduling

Syncs teacher lesson plans directly with student deadlines and automated push reminders across devices.

Real-Time Feedback Hub

Interactive rubric-based grading and audio/text student feedback channels to foster active classroom engagement.
